FOOD WILL BE THERE. PROBABLY.
Format: International Online Seminar
On Climate, Food Waste and Why a Full Shelf Shouldn’t Be Taken for Granted
Participation is free of charge, and all participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Registration: https://lnkd.in/d8jU6J46
Guest Speaker: Vilius Jorudas, Sustainability Manager at IKI Lietuva
Will our supermarket shelves always be full? How is climate change affecting food supply chains, and why is reducing food waste becoming more important than ever?
Join our online seminar to learn how climate change and growing uncertainty affect food availability and supply chains.
Drawing on real-life examples from IKI Lietuva, one of Lithuania’s largest supermarket chains, Vilius Jorudas will share how better demand forecasting, product planning, discounts, food redistribution and other practical measures can help reduce food waste and make food supply chains more resilient.
The key message: If food supply becomes less predictable in the future, making the most of the food we already have is more important than ever.
About the speaker: Vilius Jorudas is the Sustainability Manager at IKI Lietuva, responsible for the company’s sustainability initiatives and projects, including food waste reduction.
The event is organised as part of the Nordplus Horizontal project “Resilient Futures – Inclusive Entrepreneurial Preparedness in Times of Uncertainty” (NPHZ-2026/10049).
We warmly invite educators, students, sustainability professionals and everyone interested in climate change, food waste and resilience to join us.
