Career Prospects
The knowledge, skills and artistic experience acquired during the studies provide an opportunity to work in cultural institutions, popular music ensembles, music clubs, as well as to carry out creative and artistic activities independently.
Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:
- analyze and distinguish the essential elements of the language of various genres of popular music, traditions of performance, stylistics and genres;
- apply technical means used in the field of music (IT, sound reinforcement equipment) to perform the intended musical program, taking into account the requirements of occupational safety;
- collect, analyze and interpret information related to professional activity and its environment in an argumentative manner;
- analyze and evaluate popular culture phenomena in the context of regional and world musical culture;
- assess the quality of authors and performers of various genres of popular music and their own personal musical activity;
- perform musical works from notes, hearing and memory;
- perform works (standards) of the main styles and genres of popular music with a selected instrument/voice;
- arrange and interpret popular music works, taking into account the requirements of the selected style and the composition of the ensemble;
- compose and prepare a program of various genres of popular music for different social and cultural contexts;
- create and realize an individual musical concept with a chosen musical instrument/voice;
- improvise with a chosen instrument/voice, following the requirements of the appropriate musical style and genre;
- present creative ideas in writing and/or orally to interested parties and communicate with them in Lithuanian and a chosen foreign language;
- communicate and work in a team with other performers and concert organizations, guided by ethical norms and legal provisions;
- play music individually and in an ensemble, adapt to changing circumstances;
- plan and carry out professional activities;
- manage stress (especially stage fright), adapt to changing circumstances using the tools of imagination, intuition and emotional intelligence;
- demonstrate a mature stage culture when performing a concert program in public.
