Career Prospects
A graphic design specialist will be able to work in publishing houses, advertising agencies or companies, in the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines, and carry out individual activities by obtaining a business license or concluding author’s contracts. Studies can be continued by choosing higher education university study programmes.
Learning Outcomes
Graduates will:
- understand the professional and cultural context;
- know the variety of publishing and visual communication tools, their specific possibilities, special professional terminology and areas of graphic design activities;
- be able to sketch, illustrate, and graphically express thoughts;
- convey information messages by graphic means, collect the necessary information from various information sources;
- be able to define the design conditions and purposefully apply the tools and technologies required for the project, work safety requirements;
- be able to conduct research and apply its results in creating a graphic design project concept, implement it in practice, present the final result of their own or team activities, organize technical preparation of graphic design works for production, anticipate project development opportunities, solve implementation and finance problems, communicate with clients and business partners in the domestic and international market and work in a team;
- know the basic concepts of entrepreneurship, market economy knowledge, legal and professional ethics, will be able to reflect on the study process, deepen the knowledge in the professional field, and keep up with innovations and the latest trends in graphic design.
