Career Prospects
The aim of the programme Hygienic and Decorative Cosmetology is to prepare Professional Bachelors of Health Sciences, who will be able to plan and provide health-safe cosmetology services, evaluate the quality of services provided, select and apply cosmetic materials, tools and methods according to the individual needs of the customers, carry out scientific applied activities, to consult on cosmetology issues following by science-based practice and innovations, working in a team or individually.
Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:
- justify the influence of multiple factors on the condition of the skin and the functioning of the body;
- explain the principles of action and the effect on the skin of physical, chemical, and mechanical factors used in cosmetology;
- apply occupational safety and hygiene requirements, legal principles of regulation of beauty and wellness services, selecting and performing cosmetological procedures;
- determine the need for cosmetology services after assessing the condition of the skin and skin additives;
- draw up a plan of cosmetological care and evaluate the effectiveness of its implementation, considering the needs of the customer, age characteristics and cosmetic problems;
- independently select cosmetics, materials, means and devices for performing facial, body, nail care procedures and make-up;
- safely carry out manual and hardware cosmetological treatments in accordance with the methods of their performance;
- provide reasonable recommendations on cosmetological care issues;
- organize the business of beauty services;
- cooperate and communicate on cosmetology issues orally and in written form, in accordance with professional ethics and principles of citizenship;
- demonstrate social responsibility;
- plan and carry out applied cosmetology research and dissemination of results in accordance with the principles of scientific research ethics;
- learn independently, critically evaluate professional activity, choosing science-based information sources;
- respond appropriately in case of critical situations and / or conditions.
