Grant Agreement
Funding
Teaching staff from companies are awarded an Erasmus+ grant.
The Erasmus+ grant consists of two main components:
- subsistence costs (calculated on a daily basis according to country groups) and
- travel costs (calculated based on straight-line distance). Exact rates are set by the European Commission and administered by the receiving higher education institution.
Subsistence costs
- A fixed daily amount is allocated based on the economic level of the destination country (countries are divided into groups).
- Funding covers the days of the visit (typically 2 to 5 teaching days) plus up to 2 travel days, if necessary.
Travel costs
- The distance between the point of departure and the destination is calculated using the European Commission’s official straight-line distance calculator. A fixed travel allowance is allocated based on the applicable distance band (if an eco-friendly mode of transport – “green travel,” e.g., train or bus—is chosen, the rate may be higher).
Additional support
- Additional funds based on actual costs incurred may be allocated to participants with special needs or physical disabilities.
Grant disbursement and reporting after the teaching visit:
After the Erasmus+ teaching visit, the following documents must be submitted to the International Relations and Projects Department and Finance and Accounting Department:
- travel documents (tickets, boarding passes),
- accommodation documents and
- online EU report (EU Survey) within the month following the mobility.
Once the reporting for the visit is fully completed, VIKO Finance and Accounting Department transfers the grant to the mobility participant’s account within 15 working days.
