This year, 47 international guest lecturers from foreign higher education institutions exchanged their knowledge and experience with VIKO community.

International (Teaching) Week – an initiative that has already become a tradition, attracting more and more foreign lecturers who want to share knowledge with VIKO students and exchange experiences with colleagues from all over the world.

We have received guests not only from European countries, but also from Kenya, India and the United States. This year, 47 teachers came to Vilniaus kolegija to exchange experience and knowledge in all faculties. We have also received colleagues who have come within staff mobility to deepen their knowledge and share good practice.

During the intensive teaching week, students did not miss an opportunity to gain international experience without leaving Lithuania by attending guests’ lectures and gaining practical skills at seminars and workshops. During the week students used a chance to get acquainted with foreign higher education institutions and possibilities to do an internship or study semester at them by using Erasmus+ mobility program scholarship. Throughout the week VIKO lecturers and staff members improved their skills through trainings and seminars provided by international guests.

Every day after the lectures, the guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with Lithuanian culture by testing line and folk dances, visiting the money museum, the Centre for Civil Education, the Old Town of Vilnius and Trakai.

This year at the grand Closing of International Week we had few occasions to celebrate as it was an International Woman day and upcoming 11th of March – Day of Restoration of independence of Lithuania. The concert was a gift from students of Arts and Creative Technologies faculty.

The date of the International (Teaching) Week 2020 is already planned. We are looking forward to meet you at the VIKO | UAS on 2-6th of March 2020.
