During the last week of April Vilniaus kolegija organised annual International Week (IW). This year IW hosted 58 lecturers from partner higher education institutions and business companies from 18 countries. Lectures were organised in all 7 faculties of Vilniaus kolegija. The main goal of the international week is to give possibilities for all the students, who for any reasons do not have possibilities to participate in exchange programmes, benefit from international lecturers’ classes and workshops (“Internationalisation at home”).
In addition, 3 international conferences, 4 seminars and several visits to Vilniaus kolegija’s social partners were organised.
During the opening of the IW keynote speeches were delivered by Ilja Laurs (Lithuania), David Banks (Scotland, UK) ir Michael Daly (Ireland). The key event of the social programme of the IW was International Evening, where ethnographic regions of Lithuania were presented by Vilniaus kolegija’s folk dance group “Voruta”. This was followed by presentations of countries, which Vilniaus kolegija’s international students come from.
Besides the guest lecturers, a group of students from Scotland, New College Lanarkshire, visited Vilniaus kolegija during the IW. Students participated in the classes and workshops of the visiting lecturers and performed projects assignments.
