School Mental Health Partners Unite in Arad to Address School Mental Health Issues

The partners of the School Mental Health Erasmus+ project recently concluded their second transnational meeting in Arad, Romania, a crucial gathering held on May 19–20, 2026. This international coalition, comprising experts from Spain (Fundación Santa María la Real), Romania (Predict CSD Consulting), Iceland (NORTH Consulting), Lithuania (Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution), and Cyprus (The Idea Factory), focused on the reality that school mental health has become not only an European issue but a global emergency. Central to the discussions were the results of the transnational research and mapping phase, which provided the evidence-based foundation for the project’s next steps.
By analyzing this data, the consortium successfully defined the roles and responsibilities for the upcoming development of a specialized training course and a virtual platform, ensuring that the project’s outputs directly address the real-world needs of educators and students. Beyond technical planning, the meeting solidified a strategic roadmap for dissemination and sustainability to ensure the project’s impact reaches a global scale. With a unified strategy now in place, the partners move forward to transform their research findings into practical tools, reaffirming their commitment to making mental health a priority in schools everywhere.
Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution was represented by Aurelija Kūgytė, Lecturer at the Faculty of Health Care and Rima Bačiulytė, Head of the Projects Department, Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Design.
