On June 12-15, Jolanta Preidienė, Head of the VIKO International Relations and Projects Department, together with representatives of two other Lithuanian higher education institutions, participated in the contact seminar “International Strategies For Higher Education”, which was organized by the Italian national Erasmus+ agency (it. “Agenzia Nazionale Erasmus+ INDIRE”). In total, more than 100 participants from 16 European countries took part in this seminar.

During the event, the main focus was on the topic of internationalization. The purpose of the seminar was to search for solutions, discuss and propose ideas on how to increase the internationalization of the academic sector, its attractiveness to foreign students, synergies between financial schemes and action programs, the impact of inter-nationality and the elimination of mobility disturbances. During the meeting, specific proposals were identified, which are planned to be submitted to the European Commission.
