Two VIKO Projects receive funding in the HEROES Small-Scale Cooperation Projects Call
We are pleased to announce that two applications submitted by Vilniaus kolegija / Higher education institution received the highest evaluations among this year’s VIKO proposals and were awarded funding.
One of the funded projects is “The Voice of Quiet Students in Higher Education: Needs, Inclusion, and Strategic Solutions (QUIET-VOICE)”, which will be led by Dr. Agnė Šimkienė, a researcher at the Faculty of Business Management. The project is an excellent example of interdisciplinary collaboration, as researchers Justas Dalinkevičius and Dr. Stanislav Sabaliauskas from the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Faculty of Technics will also contribute to its implementation. The project will be carried out in cooperation with two HEROES partners: University College Nordjylland (Denmark) and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (Finland).
The second funded project, “Future Resilient City Labs: Co-creating Local Tools for Regional Resilience,” was developed by Marius Ignatonis, Project Manager of International Relations and Project Department and the Faculty of Agrotechnologies. The project will be implemented in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (Portugal) and Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic).
Under the HEROES Alliance call for proposals for Small-Scale Cooperation Projects, researchers and project managers from Vilniaus kolegija / Higher education institution submitted four project applications. In total, 21 applications were submitted to the first call by various HEROES partner institutions.
The HEROES Small-Scale Cooperation Projects calls are designed to encourage the development of new interinstitutional partnerships among HEROES Alliance institutions. These projects provide an opportunity to test new collaboration formats, strengthen international research networks, and lay the groundwork for future joint projects and larger-scale funding initiatives.
We congratulate the project teams and wish them every success in implementing their projects!
