VIKO – Leader of National Subjects’ Ratings!

On 7 th December subject-specific rankings and evaluations of different educational and higher education institutions were presented at the press conference of the “Reitingai” magazine.

According to the presented evaluations and ratings in the groups of professional bachelor ‘s degree field, most of VIKO programmes are in the 1st place!

2023 VIKO professional bachelor’s degree programmes’ ratings:

• In the group of College professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Health sciences VIKO leads in: medical technologies(76,96 points out of 100), rehabilitation (77,44 points out of 100), nursing and midwifery ( 73,52 points out of 100), cosmetology (82.03 points out of 100), and nutrition (81.03 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Physical sciences VIKO is the leader according to the best evaluation of alumni by employers and the highest ranking in chemical science.
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Engineering sciences: electronic engineering (79.98 points out of 100) and environmental engineering (71.72 points out of 100).
• in professional bachelor’s studies, in the group of Technological sciences field: polymer and textile technologies (84.85 points out of 100) and food technology (82.03 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s degree studies in Computer science field: programme systems (71.87 points out of 100) and information systems (74.01 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s degree studies in the field of technological sciences: polymer and textile technologies (84.85 points out of 100) and food technology (82.03 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Agricultural sciences: veterinary medicine (leader) and agricultural sciences (76.93 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Social sciences – economics (75.32 points out of 100), social work in the second place (67.32 points out of 100), communication in the third place (63.06 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Humanities: translation, VIKO study programme leading the rankings for the second year in a row (80.37 points out of 100).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, Business and public management sciences field: finance (86.57 points out of 100), marketing (73.82 points out of 100), management (80.96 points out of 100), business (81.64 points out of 100 ), and accounting (81.96 points out of 100 ).
• in the group of professional bachelor’s studies, the field of Educational sciences: pedagogy (77.44 points out of 100), design in the third place (59.85 points out of 100), theatre in the second place (46.08 points out of 100) and the leader of the VIKO subject rankings – music.

A number of criteria and indicators are being considered when ranking higher education institutions by subject.  They include employers’ opinion about alumni, how many students were enrolled, how many of them are the best students with the highest grades, the employment rate after graduation and SKCV assessment.
