VIKO Staff Training Week
VIKO Staff Training Week “Demand-Based Research in Higher Education” has successfully finished!
VIKO hosted 45 bright, talented and high-skilled participants from 15 European, Asian and African countries who were highly motivated to gain new skills in demand-based research as well as to get to know to Lithuania, its culture, history and customs.
The intensive Staff Training Week circled around the topics such as:
What are the challenges of demand driven research and how to overcome them?
What competences are needed for a PHE applied researcher working for companies/organisations and how to acquire them?
What is a Science Shop and what is “sold”/ “bought” there?
The Week was full of enriching meetings with VIKO researchers presenting their best research cases, a wide platform for discussions and best practice exchanges, lectures from foreign researchers, visits to VIKO strategic partner companies, a lot of networking as well as excursions around Vilnius, International evening with Lithuanian folk song and dance ensemble Voruta, traditional Midsummer festival celebration and much more.
