Vilnius University of Applied Sciences signed a cooperation agreement with the Seimas Chancellery of the Republic of Lithuania
On the 29th of November Vilnius University of Applied Sciences signed a cooperation agreement with the Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania providing for the development of studies, applied research, experimental development and project activities, the enhancement of social responsibility, the promotion of the development of an integrated study system and the creation of added value through joint project activities.
“The main purpose of the contract is to enable Vilnius University of Applied Sciences and the Seimas Chancellery to share their experience in developing the competences of VIKO students, teachers and the Chancellery staff “, says Rector of Vilnius University of Applied Sciences dr. Žymantė Jankauskienė.
The contract discusses the right of Vilnius University of Applied Sciences to invite representatives of the Seimas Chancellery to supervise the final theses of VIKO students and to review them, to participate in the work of the thesis defense commission, to invite representatives of the Seimas Chancellery to participate in scientific conferences, seminars and other events, to present papers, to meet for discussions with VIKO students and teachers.
Also, after signing the contract, Vilnius University of Applied Sciences, in agreement with the Seimas Chancellery, has the right to offer students of VIKO to undertake professional practice in the Seimas Chancellery.
The Chancellery of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania is a budgetary state body which assists the Seimas in carrying out its functions and ensures the activities of the Seimas.
