Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:
- explain biological characteristics and development regularities of the plant, conditions for plant cultivation, maintenance of soil fertility, plant nutrition processes;·
- describe biological and economic characteristics of different farm animal species, genetics, breeding, housing, hygiene, welfare and farm animal nutrition technology;·
- apply precision farming methods of plant cultivation technology;
- choose innovative plant and animal production technologies for various farming systems, save natural resources and biodiversity;·
- use computer farm management programmes to acquire data, collect, process, analyse and use in agricultural activity planning;·
- explain processes of the food raw material production, treatment, storage and processing;·
- carry out plant and animal production storage, primary processing and preparation for sale;
- apply the theoretical knowledge and models of social sciences in professional activities;·
- be aware of the common agricultural policy and its objectives related to agriculture and rural development challenges and oriented to the European Union (EU) strategy implementation;·
- evaluate processes and results of agribusiness economic activity, and select agricultural product marketing strategies and models;·
- plan, organise and control the activity of agricultural entities and main agricultural production processes, foresee and choose financing sources, forms of credit provision, investment (innovation) agricultural and rural development projects;·
- analyse and evaluate economic data, and apply the results of data analysis for decision making and planning activities;·
- communicate and cooperate in various communicative situations, express thoughts reasonably taking part in consultations;·
- formulate the problem, establish the objective, and make rational decisions;·
- use scientific literature, guidelines and legal acts, analyse them and apply in practice;·
- work independently and in a team, solve problems, make managerial decisions and provide proposals for agricultural business management.
