Career Prospects

You will be able to work in a variety of surgical, therapeutic, pediatric and other specialized units at personal health care facilities, addiction disease centers, social services, health care homes for the elderly and the disabled, and private personal care facilities.

Learning Outcomes

You will be able to:

• Assess human structure, physiological functions and behaviour.
• Link knowledge about the state of health, physical and social environment in support of the nursing care.
• Evaluate the role of nurse to patient autonomy, rights and safety.
• Collect and generalise data received while conducting applied research.
• To implement evidence-based nursing practice.
• Identify care needs, plan and organise care for patients, families and communities of all ages and health conditions.
• Perform nursing interventions in a variety of clinical situations and preventive services.
• Assess nursing outcomes according to prescribed criteria for the health of the patient, family or community.
• Assess the need for nursing interventions in crisis and disaster situations and initiate assistance
• Consider the impact of lifestyle and environmental risk factors on individual, family and group health and involve them in the management of health problems
• Demonstrate personal and/or community health teaching by integrating knowledge of education, psychology and nursing sciences.
• Analyse the process of quality assurance of nursing care
• Demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing with actors in the health sector
• Work as part of a team to provide nursing services to patients, families and communities.
• To demonstrate acknowledgement of individual and cultural diversity.
• Choose the suitable learning methods for continuous learning.
• Demonstrate possibilities of health and nursing information technologies
• Make decisions based on science-based practice nature and ethics of the profession.
