The aim of the study program is to develop a personality capable of successfully competing in the constantly changing field of digital innovations, applying computer science methods, engineering principles and technologies to design, implement, maintain, develop, test, and evaluate secure computer systems and networks, in order to address various professional challenges.
Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:
- To explain the essential facts, concepts, theories, and mathematical methods relevant to operation of computers, their hardware and software, its characteristics and practical application possibilities, computer communication and applied solutions related to important historical, current and possible future trends in computer sciences.
- Explain the principles of algorithm construction and analysis, programming paradigms, languages and technologies, principles of human-computer interaction, typical stages of software life-cycle, and methods of software development and maintenance.
- Explain how the commercial, industrial, economic and social context affect professional practice, defined by ethical norms and regulated by legal requirements, including data protection, intellectual property rights, contracts, product safety, responsibility and other related issues.
- Apply knowledge of informatics engineering to develop computer systems, computer networks or other applied solutions to solve professional problems.
- Explain the methods of development, structure and principles of operation of computer and other specialised digital techniques and their application to specific problems.
- Research skills
- Describe a specific problem in computer systems, computer networks or other professional activities and prepare the necessary data to solve it, using a variety of sources.
- Analyse data and information relevant to a problem in computer systems, computer networks or other professional activities, and determine their relevance to specific criteria.
- Evaluate data and information relevant to a problem in computer systems, computer networks or other professional activity, providing reasoned justification for decisions and conclusions.

- Apply relevant computer science engineering methods to formulate and efficiently solve applied problems in computer systems and computer networks.
- Selecting software and hardware to develop new or upgrade existing computer systems.
- Properly administer and configure computer systems and computer networks using current standards and technologies.
- Evaluate computer systems and computer networks in terms of performance, security and reliability criteria for maintenance and development.
