VISA information

Exchange students from EU
If you are going to study in Lithuania for a period of time longer that three months, please register at the Migration department as soon as you arrive to Lithuania. For this registration you will need to provide:
- Passport or ID card copy;
- State fee 8.60 EUR;
- Completed application form;
- Proof of sufficient income for the study period: scholarship confirmation/Bank Account statement of at least 304 EUR per month and 608 EUR for the ticket back to home country.
- European Health Insurance Card or Health insurance certificate (valid for whole study period);
- Confirmation letter of your enrolment at Vilniaus kolegija (issued by International Relations Office).
Exchange students from non-EU countries
All exchange students from non-EU countries must get national D-type visa before the arrival (if you are already studying in another EU country with valid residence permit or visa, you don’t need additional visa up to 360 days).
In order to get national D-type Lithuanian VISA, please submit the documents to the nearest Lithuanian Embassy listed below:
- Application form https://visa.vrm.lt/epm/;
- Mediation letter number (will be provided by International Relations office, please contact us regarding the matter as soon as your nomination is confirmed);
- 1 photo (colour, 35×45 mm);
- Valid passport;
- Valid Health insurance (with a minimum amount of 30000 EUR);
- Proof of sufficient income for the study period: scholarship confirmation/Bank Account statement of at least 304 EUR per month and 608 EUR for the ticket back to home country.

- Please note we do consider valid VISA for the whole study period as a students’ responsibility.
